The Perfect Man

The Perfect Man

Perfection is an illusion,
Trapped in the mind of an idealist
Blissfully ignorant of the reality

Eyes that you get lost in
Accented by thick eyebrows
Windows to the soul, so they say

Mouth that speaks words of wisdom
Voice that can calm the rockiest sea,
Lips curve into the most beautiful smile

A natural air of confidence
Composure that puts people at ease
Maturity beyond years

A big heart that loves
An attentive listener
With arms that protects

A long list of perfection
Seeing at world in a different perspective
A person to look up to

The perfect man is imaginary
I always believed
until I met you.

Well, I am not always good – sometimes I’m brilliant :o)
Lovely poem – thank you for that.
